Our Story

Real luxury isn't labels or logos.
It's thoughtful craftsmanship, genuine comfort, and quiet expressions of personal joy.

I’m Lonnie, and I’ve always loved fashion. Growing up, my mother never emphasized brand names. Instead, she taught me to recognize subtle quality—fine stitching, careful construction, and beautiful fabrics—over flashy logos. I’d often look at a friend's luxury-labeled item and wonder: was it truly better, or mostly clever marketing? Over time, I learned that real luxury feels personal—familiar, comforting, and quietly beautiful. It doesn't need to shout.

Travel deepened this insight. Wherever I'd go—wearing a stunning Peruvian cape, an artisanal hat from Mexico, or a designer-quality jacket from a quietly outstanding workshop—people inevitably asked, “Where did you get that?” Simply saying "a factory in China" or "Peru" didn't help them find the same joy or appreciate the deeper stories behind each special item. Some pieces support meaningful community projects around the globe, while others are simply exceptional discoveries from factories producing for major luxury brands, later relabeled and sold at ten times the cost.

Then, in Marrakech, everything changed. I met Zaki—a Moroccan textile expert with lifelong ties to generations of local artisans. A conversation sparked by a single rug evolved into a shared passion for authentic craftsmanship and genuine community. Marrakech became home, and together we launched Haute Globetrot—a thoughtfully curated collection of quietly luxurious items you'll genuinely love to wear, use, and live with.

Quietly Extraordinary Partnerships

At Haute Globetrot, every item has meaning. Many of our finds offer exceptional value and quality, sourced from the very same workshops that quietly supply renowned luxury labels. Our Heritage and Eco-conscious collections also directly support remarkable artisans and meaningful global projects:

Kente Weavers in Ghana:
Our custom-made couture jackets are woven to your precise measurements through creative collaborations led by extraordinary local designers who have nurtured generations of Ghanaian creators. Guided by a family deeply committed to medicine and community wellbeing, each carefully crafted piece supports local healthcare initiatives—including essential medical supplies, emergency oxygen during shortages, scholarships for aspiring doctors, and mentorship by a respected professor from Kumasi Technical University's design program.

Glorka's Global Initiatives:
Collaborations with indigenous and rural women—from Costa Rica’s Boruca village and Panama’s Kuna tribe, to rural communities in India and Puerto Rico—empowering women through skill-building, economic independence, and genuine joy.

Peruvian Artisans:
Handmade baby alpaca wool capes created by local women weavers in Peru, preserving traditional weaving techniques and ensuring fair wages, in partnership with Awaken by Bliss.

Marrakech Craftsmanship:
Authentic rugs, textiles, and artisan-carved wooden chairs reflecting Zaki’s deep connections to Moroccan traditions and local craftspeople.

When you choose Haute Globetrot, you're not simply selecting beautifully crafted items—you're joining our quietly extraordinary community, built around authenticity, mutual respect, and mindful connection.

We're truly glad you're here.

Warmly,
Lonnie & Zaki
